Generally, we purchase galvanized iron wire by weight, but some customers want to know how long the galvanized iron wire is?
This involves the calculation method of the weight of galvanized iron wire, which will simply explain how to calculate the theoretical weight and length of galvanized iron wire.
The weight of galvanized iron wire is generally calculated according to the formula of wire diameter x wire diameter x 0.00617=weight of galvanized iron wire (kg/m). The wire diameter is the diameter of galvanized iron wire. For example, if the diameter of No. 14 galvanized iron wire is 2.2mm, the weight of one meter of No. 14 galvanized iron wire is 2.2x2.2x0.00617 ≈ 0.03kg/m. Therefore, the length of a kilogram of No. 14 galvanized iron wire is about 1/0.03 ≈ 33 meters.
The weight or length of galvanized iron wire calculated by the above method is only a theoretical value, which plays a certain reference role. In the actual production process, there will be some errors. Within a certain reasonable range, the actual weight or length of galvanized iron wire shall prevail.
